Corporate Social Responsibility: At The Boot Repair Company, we recognise the environmental challenges related to the climate crisis we are all facing, and we have a responsibility to protect our planet for the next generation. That is why, in 2020, we set ourselves ambitious goals to repair, refurbish and resell worn footwear more responsibly.
As we continue to grow, our focus remains on better understanding our environmental impacts and acting to reduce them. We know that changes to our processes can have a meaningful impact, so we aim to make a positive difference within our supply chain and own operations, wherever we can.
We are advising footwear brands on how to become more sustainable in the way they manufacture footwear by using higher grade materials and making items repairable which will enhance their brand and to extend the life of products.
We also believe that everyone should be treated fairly, whatever their role in the Boot Repair Co community. We are committed to ensuring the people in our offices, workshops and distribution centre feel safe at work. We aim to leave a meaningful and positive impact in the communities we are part of.
We have partnered with the local schools to attract the community to join our team. We offer flexible working hours to allow parents to work school hours, so they are available for the school pick up. We joined the Learning Partnership at the end of 2020 to offer people the chance of getting back into employment.
We offer a wide range of in-house training to all our employees to enhance and develop skills. As part of working closely with the community we support the Holbeck Together programme and other local charities with sponsorship and donations.
